MIRACLES ARE AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE FOR HEALER STEPHEN TUROFF. PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD FLOCK TO HIS CHELMSFORD CLINIC HOPING HE CAN END WHAT IS OFTEN YEARS OF PHYSICAL TORMENT AND SUFFERING. COACHES FILL THE CAR PARK. STEPHEN SAYS A DISCARNATE DOCTOR WORKS 'THROUGH' HIM; THAT HE HAS A HIGH SUCCESS. CHRIS STONER INTRODUCES US TO THE EXTRAORDINARY WORLD OF PSYCHIC SURGERY.

A
Psychic Surgery Experience
I am lying outstretched on a therapist's table with
Stephen Turoff standing over me. He holds a scalpel in his right hand. He is
smiling.
I have come here out of idle curiosity. Lethargy is the complaint. He looks
at my body. 'I need to go inside' are his exact words. Stephen explains that
I have a small blockage in my stomach which, unless removed now, could cause
me problems in later life. I am feeling distinctly apprehensive. I don't
feel tired anymore. During the psychic surgery, scalpels and scissors are
often used
He pulls my shirt up. I close my eyes. Suddenly, there is a stinging
sensation. I feel the scalpel inside my stomach - moving around. I sense a
hand tugging at something. Pull, pull - it is released. I open my eyes.
Stephen throws an object into a nearby metal basket. There is an audible
sound. He places his hands above my stomach. They remain there. 'All over',
he smiles. The whole incident has taken less than 20 seconds.
Stephen moves up to my head. Ash suddenly starts falling through my hair. 'Vibhutim',
he explains. 'What is your favourite smell?' He is still smiling. 'Er.
rose', I mutter incredulously.
Stephen rubs his hand together. 'Smell.' I move my head and the sweet scent
of rose wafts across. He laughs. 'Amazing, isn't it?' He walks towards the
door. 'The red mark on your stomach will disappear in a few hours. Nice to
meet you.' He moves to an adjoining room with the scalpel, bloodless and
clean, in hand.
I breathe deeply. I look down and there is a large red blotch across my
stomach. I move over to the basket. It's empty. I hunt around for a
container holding ash. Nothing. There must be an aromatherapy bottle
somewhere labelled 'Rose'. Nothing. I leave the room dazed. This has to be
the most bizarre experience of my life.

A Few
Good Men
When Stephen works, beautiful pastel lights have allegedly
been captured on the ordinary cameras of visitors, relatives and friends,
descending like lightning bolts from the sky into patients' bodies.
Psychic surgery has a bad reputation. Some researchers believe that up to 80
per cent of those practising are fraudulent. The Philippines, where this
form of healing began in the 1920s, is especially corrupt. So when a genuine
psychic surgeon emerges, it is seen as an important discovery.
South America, and in particular Brazil, came to prominence in this area in
the 1960s, when one renowned healer, called Origo, became inter-nationally
known. Nicknamed 'The Surgeon of the Rusty Knife', he channelled a Doctor
Fritz. Today, the United Kingdom is honoured with two respected healers:
George Chapman, who lives in Wales and channels a Dr Lang, and Stephen
Turoff.
Stephen is not workshy. He sees up to 50 people a day, five days a week, 52
weeks of the year. He has never had to advertise; his business comes through
word of mouth.

The Good Doctor
It's a pleasure interviewing him. His
humility is immediately apparent. Stephen channels a Doctor Joseph Kahn, who
lives in the spirit world. He looks on, often in awe, while the doctor
controls his hands and does all the medical work. 'I am like a puppet',
Stephen explains. 'I just let him get on with it'. He experiences an altered
state of consciousness, and a divine love, while being used. The early days,
though, were very different.
'Until two years ago I was in full trance. Dr Kahn took over my body
completely. I was out for eight hours a day - like being in a deep sleep. I
had little time for myself - only a few hours a day. When people asked me
after an operation what I did, I would reply "I haven't a clue". My body
also suffered.
So we both agreed that a new approach was required; today, it is just
control. I am composmentis 90 per cent of the time and only go into full
trance during a difficult operation. I feel much happier with this change.'
Who is Dr. Kahn? 'He lived on Earth during the latter half of the 1800s and
the early 1900s. He's an Austrian Jewish doctor who made his name at the
front during the First World War, helping the many wounded. After dying, he
wished to continue his earthly work as a doctor, so he attended the 'Halls
of Learning' on the astral plane to further develop his healing powers and
learn the latest medical skills from both the astral and physical worlds.'
What Dr. Kahn needed next was a physical body to work through. Stephen was
chosen, with his 'soul approval', as the medium. 'He only works through me.
It took him many years to attune with my vibration.'

Working Miracles
Examples abound of miracle cures. Stephen
offers a few: 'A vicar 'phoned me. One of his parishioners was a paralysed
young man with a brain tumour. Could I help? Some weeks later the vicar
arrived with a burly friend who was pushing the man in a wheelchair.
'They stayed in the room while Dr. Kahn began working on him. After a few
minutes the doctor told me to say: "Get up and walk". I hesitated, but
repeated the comment. The man, who had been paralysed for three years,
slowly stood up and proceeded to walk around the room. The vicar and his
friend took one look and ran out. The man is now living a normal life. The
tumour is gone and the wheelchair has been given away.'
Multiple sclerosis, cancer, migraine headaches, arthritis, back pain,
blindness - whatever the condition, the 'team' are up to it, says Stephen.
One favourite story concerns an Arab prince:
'His teenage daughter suffered from an incurable stomach problem. She was
staying at a £1,000-a-night London hospital. The girl couldn't eat and
relied on an intravenous drip. She had been there a month. Dr. Kahn worked
on her stomach in the clinic. After a few minutes I was told the girl could
go. That night a top surgeon at the hospital 'phoned me to ask what I had
done. He was dumbfounded. The girl could eat again and X-rays showed that
her stomach was now perfectly alright.'

The Partnership Begins
Stephen
has been psychic since he was a boy, and practised as a ‘hands on’ healer
for 15 years before one fateful day in 1985. ‘I was giving healing to a
friend, who had a bad back problem, and after finishing I suddenly heard a
voice in my head say ‘replace her on the table in 20 minutes.’
This he did. Then, Stephen’s mind went blank. ‘I woke up to see my wife’s face a pale white and the friend moaning on my couch.’
A voice had come through Stephen stating that his friend’s problem originated in her stomach, and not her back. They would give her an ‘etheric injection’ in the arm and operate. The friend quickly recovered’ the back pain vanished. She said a recent visit to her doctor had shown, through X-rays, an ovarian cyst. Later X-rays revealed no cyst. The unearthly partnership had begun in triumph.
The early days were difficult. ‘Dr. Kahn was extremely physical. He used ether during an operation and the rooms would stink. Patients couldn’t get off the couch they were so drowsy. His manner, too, was very austere. Some people refused to see me because of this. One 90-year-old Austrian lady said Dr. Kahn reminded her of the doctor she saw as a child – same mannerisms, everything.’
Over the years Dr. Kahn has learned to adapt. ‘There is maturity and understanding now. He is more friendly and cheerful. He’s also learned how to control my body better. It must be difficult for him. He’s dead, for God’s sake!’
Today, there is a mutual admiration: 'I love the guy. He’s a good friend. We have our disagreements, like in any partnership, but I respect him. Every day we say ‘good morning’ to each other and then get on with the work.’ They communicate clairaudiently.
‘He likes showing off’, smiles Stephen. ‘We did a demonstration a few years back for a large audience. He changed the complexion of a patient’s iris. So, one was blue, the other brown. It stayed that way for six weeks until the iris returned to its original colour.’
Magic and Mockery
The last 11 years have been a roller coaster ride – a mish-mash of miracle cures, media ridicule, medical outrage, and magical moments – where two people from different dimensions are successfully working together to alleviate human suffering. It defies all logic and seems so bizarre that a Hollywood scriptwriter would give anything for such a plot. For the more you research psychic surgery, the more extraordinary it appears.
Stephen says that Dr. Kahn has a back-up team of 15 doctors, surgeons and nurses. All were eminent in their fields while living on the earthly plane. It is they who are constantly improving surgical techniques. They are also discovering easier and more efficient ways of working between the two dimensions. Dr. Kahn is the mouthpiece.
Some of the team reside in one healing room, while others work next door. Some even help out in the waiting room, tuning in to prospective patients to diagnose their ills. All invisible to the naked eye. It is more like Star Trek than Chelmsford.

It’s All in the Karma
Amidst these glowing stories there are quite a few cases where people leave disappointed, but Stephen has a simple answer – especially when Dr. Kahn openly asserts ‘I don’t make mistakes’.
‘It is down to karma. Two people can visit me with exactly the same condition. One can be healed, the other can’t. Before any consultation Dr. Kahn must gain permission from the patient’s Higher Self. If the answer is "no", then he can’t continue. The Higher Self decides when that person has learned sufficiently from their karmic suffering.’
The Law of Spirit
To understand psychic surgery still further it is necessary to be aware that the scientific laws governing the Spirit world are different from ours and that the ‘team’ have discovered how to use their more advanced science in this, the physical dimension.
One astounding story concerns a lady from the Canary Islands. ‘She came to see me with a bad heart complaint. Her doctor had taken X-rays and warned that the heart could give out at any time. Dr. Kahn worked on her for three consecutive days - a few minutes each time. Then he told her to go. I heard, through a friend, who flew over a few weeks later to see me, that on arriving home the lady had been feeling much better. She had visited her doctor for further tests – without having mentioned the trip.
‘After various X-rays and scans, the doctor became agitated and called in a professor. After they had both looked at the new results and compared then with the old, the doctor said: "Who are you?" She replied, " I am Mrs.….. Doctor, you know me." "But you can’t be", he said. "I am", responded the lady, "Why are you asking me this?" The doctor, ashen white, replied: "We can’t understand it. Your heart is fine, but it’s not the same one."
Transplant Technology
There is a silence in the room. Stephen clears his throat. ‘During the last year there have been a number of examples where patients have received new organs. The team are able to create them in their world and then manifest the organ into the physical. God alone knows how they do it.’
The implications of this latest development, if true, are mind-boggling. In an attempt to shed some light on the matter, I first visit Robin Foy, founder member of the Scole-based new Spiritual Science Foundation.
‘During the last few years a new energy, resonating at a higher vibratory rate, has been beamed down to Earth. This has greatly helped the Spirit world to work more closely with us. Through the group’s physical mediumship we have already seen over 100 different phenomena – at least one third of which are brand new. The techniques used to materialise these, and other objects – are also very different. Ectoplasm is now a thing of the past.’
Robin believes that, as this new energy increases, a ‘gateway’ between the two dimensions will occur. ‘Communication between us and the dead will become a normal, everyday happening. A present, the spirit world resonates at a higher vibratory rate than the physical. That is why they are invisible to us.’
The concept of vibration may lead us to an understanding of the principles underlying psychic surgery, because we already know that the same material, vibrating at different rates, can exist in vastly different forms. Water, for example, can be a solid, a liquid, or a gas.
Ronald Pearson, author, engineer, and research scientist, echoes this view. ‘It is through imagination and thought that objects are created in the spiritual world. By lowering the vibratory rate an object is then able to manifest in the physical. Through raising its vibratory rate the item will vanish from the physical and reappear in the spiritual,’ How are the inhabitants of the spirit world able to change these rates? ‘We don’t yet understand the science.’
Fearing the Unknown
We can see why psychic surgery represents everything that orthodoxy fears. Southampton GP Dr. Peter May voices the majority view. He appeared on a television programme a few years ago to comment on a film of Stephan at work:
"To believe that Turoff is inhabited by a dead doctor is, to my mind, sheer nonsense and for people to believe this is gross gullibility. In my view, the medical advice given on the film was ignorant. Many of those who see him are desperate – they want to believe. You can’t protect people from their own stupidity.’
How can you expect an orthodoxy overwhelmingly dismissive of life after death to accept the existence of psychic surgery? How can the scientific community comprehend what is going on when the science of psychic surgery appears to be so much more advance, so alien to our own? Their only option is to ridicule and dismiss genuine psychic surgery as fraudulent.
Meanwhile, Stephen continues with his work. ‘If I am a fraud, how come my waiting room is full every day? The media have tried many times to catch me out, but have never succeeded. I stopped trying to prove what I do a long time ago.’ But psychic surgery ever be harmful? ‘No. I trust Dr. Kahn and his team implicitly.’
It seems, then, that you either accept it or you don’t. If you do, then your mind expands into a world of astonishing possibilities – where the science and metaphysics used make our present conventional techniques look positively Neanderthal. Psychic surgery seems to be at least a century ahead of its time. It appears to be an advanced form of vibrational medicine. And for those who are suffering and require help, what is there to lose? All you need is an open mind, after all.
